Are you on o2? Are you having problems?

We have two mobile phones, both on o2. A couple of months ago we received a text from them saying that the coverage might be weak for a couple of days as they were doing some work in the area. Since then, our signal has been appalling: to make or receive a call we have to go outside (or, if we’re lucky, into the conservatory) and we’ve missed calls because our phones are generally indoors.

I have contacted o2 three times to complain and they always send a stock reply that, “We’ve been checking for faults in your area but haven’t been able to find any.”

Clearly whatever maintenance work they did when they sent that text has decreased the signal, but they’re not acknowledging it.

Are we the only people in the village who are affected? If you have noticed a problem with your o2, please complain. If they’re deluged with messages all from the same village, perhaps they’ll do something about it. I’d be grateful if you would also email me at mike@mswords.co.uk so that I know how big the issue is, and can badger o2 on behalf of all of us.
