Staged every other year, the Whissendine Flower Festival is held in St Andrews Church over the August bank holiday weekend.

2023’s Flower Festival was on the theme of Poetry, Verse and Rhyme. We welcomed more than 500 visitors to the church over the bank holiday weekend and raised more than £3,000 for church funds, with the village hall making nearly £1,500  from refreshments.
Caroline Aston entertained us with amusing poetry readings at the preview evening with wine and canapes served, and we were moved by the extraordinary performance by the very talented Ukranian pianist, Yaroslav Oliinyk.
