On Tuesday 13 October 2015 (note the new date), there will be a ‘Barrow Boys and Bankers’ village trip to London. Following a lunch there will be a guided walk around Spitalfield and Whitechapel to see how trade was during the previous centuries and including some to the Jack the Rippers murder sites (one hour). This will be followed by a visit to the Bank of England Museum (£22.00). Then after, if you wish, refreshments in a pub opposite, which used to be the City’s oldest bank.
