Sports & Outdoor
The Sports Club on Melton Road offers football, cricket, tennis, bowls and pétanque. The clubhouse is available for hire and hosts social events throughout the year.
Lionheart Company of Bowmen
Archery club meeting every Tuesday evening, 7-9pm at the Sports Club.
Pétanque
Multiple pétanque teams play in the village, including the White Lion Inn team who compete in the local summer league.
Table Tennis Club
The Table Tennis Club meets regularly at the Village Hall. Sessions are open to all abilities and cost £3.50 per session.

Youth & Children
Whissendine Holiday Club
A multi-activity club for primary school children (ages 5–11) during school holidays. Activities include football, tennis, dodgeball, arts and crafts, drama, den building and more. Held at the Sports Club, 9am–3pm.
Girlguiding
Rainbows (ages 5–7) meet Thursdays 4:45–5:45pm and Brownies (ages 7–10) meet Thursdays 6–7:30pm, both at the Sports Club.
Youth Group
For ages 11–16. Meets Monday evenings at the Village Hall. Activities include table tennis, games and cultural activities. Free admission.

Community Groups
A variety of community groups meet regularly in Whissendine, including the Women's Institute (WI), Happy Circle, Line Dancing, AgeUK, Amateur Dramatics Society, Whissendine Environment Group (WEG) and the Good Neighbours Scheme. Most meet at the Village Hall — check locally for current schedules.

Nature & Wildlife
The village has an active bird-watching community, with over 70 species recorded in and around Whissendine — from barn owls and buzzards to peregrine falcons and red kites. To report a sighting, email info@whissendine.net.

Music & Heritage
Whissendine Bellringers
The Bellringers ring the six bells at St Andrew's Church for weekly services, weddings and special occasions. Practice night is Thursday at 8pm. New ringers are always welcome — it only takes a few weeks of practice to become competent at handling a bell.
