Many of you will know that Ian is working out in Nigeria this year for Voluntary Services Overseas, he is hugely enjoying the challenge of doing something completely different and you can follow what he is up to by checking his blog at ianinnigeria.wordpress.com.

If you do you will know that when I went out to visit a few weeks ago I took with me a laptop that had been donated and a stack of children’s books – these were all warmly received, the laptop will be used by a students studying at Nigeria’s Open University and the books went to a local primary school. This got me thinking, I shall be travelling out again in October and Ian is coming home for a couple of weeks at the end of the month, it would be great if we could take out more computers
and books. So, do you have a laptop that you no longer use which you would be prepared to donate? Also any childrens reading books suitable for ages 5 – 12 in good condition would be hugely valued.

If you do think you have something that may be of use please contact me.

Many thanks
