Postponed until November. Further details to follow.

Due to the coronavirus restrisctions, Gordon Haskell has sadly needed to cancel his gig on 15th May.  We are currently arranging another date for November.

The amazing Gordon Haskell is coming to Whissendine on Friday, 15th May 2020!

On Friday, 15th May the legendary Gordon Haskell will be performing at Whissendine Village Hall at 8.00 p.m.  Tickets are an incredible £15 each and will be limited, so reserve yours now to avoid disappointment!

Gordon’s career spans many years and during the late 1960s he moved from Dorset to London and, for a brief period, shared a flat with Jimi Hendrix, playing supporting stints with Cliff Richard and Tim Hardin.

His single “How Wonderful You Are” was given to Johnnie Walker of BBC Radio 2 the day before 9/11. Even before its release as a single in late 2001, Gordon’s song surpassed the Beatles’ “Hey Jude” and Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” to become the most-requested song on BBC Radio 2.

Gordon is also bringing along Paul Young, a master of the saxophone!  “I have been in many bands over the years the main one was the BAKER. BROTHERS  who I recorded 16 albums with and toured the world extensively. Appearances at Ronnie Scott’s, blue note and billboard clubs all over japan. I’ve done 15 tours of japan in various bands. These days I work with Gordon and Ian Durys band the bock heads. I’ve made a couple of jazz albums of my own music” – Paul
