At the meeting in December, residents heard from Rutland County Council about the process of creating a neighbourhood plan and from the first hand experience from Pat Ovington of Langham and Whissendine resident, Kate Hiseman. Pat was very positive about the benefits to Langham of producing their plan, not just from a strict planning point of view, but that the extensive consultation with all residents and businesses had helped to develop a shared vision for the village and had also triggered some other spin offs, for example in improving their community woodland.

The Steering Group, which reports to the Parish Council, will have its first meeting at the end of January.  A number of volunteers have stepped forward, but we still need people from all sections of village life to get involved with this project.
