Burglary other than Dwelling – Ashwell and Langham
Theft from motor Vehicle – Whissendine, 2 x Exton, 2 x Greetham, Stretton, Whitwell, Egleton, 2 x Barnsdale, 3 x Hambleton, 4 x A1 and Burley
Assault – Exton and Cottesmore
Criminal Damage – Ryhall and Clipsham
Theft – Egleton, Stretton and Ashwell

We have a current Operation under the name Op HEXAGON which is targeting Burglaries and we as the Rutland Team are working hard to identify the suspects for these crimes. We are utilising the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera in the police vehicle to target known criminals travelling through the County. This is one of the Rutland North beat priorities which we will continue to tackle to reduce the burglaries reported.

We are also working hard to target the increase in Theft From motor vehicles. I have used our social media pages either through Facebook ‘Rutland Police’ and our Twitter account @RutlandPolice to send out a video clip which was also very well supported and added to the NHW App. I would ask that all residents and visitors to Rutland consider carefully where they park their vehicles when leaving them in isolated rural locations. I would also urge all owners not to leave anything valuable inside their vehicles or on display. This issue is Rutland North’s other current priority.

I am sad to announce that this month that PCSO Lauren ORGILL will be leaving Rutland North beat to start her initial training to become a Police Officer and would like to thank her for all her help and support to our communities. However I am glad to announce that PCSO 6516 Di Freeman will be joining our team moving over from Rutland South beat. Di is a very experienced Police Community Support Officer with vast knowledge of Rutland and will be a great asset to the team. If you would like to make contact with Di directly please feel free by Diana.Freeman@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk .

I would ask for your continued support on the beat and report anything suspicious either through to 101 or 999 or if you would like to speak to me directly please email me on laurie.appleton@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk . This month I will be holding a beat surgery between 10:30am -11:30am at Thisleton Church coffee morning on Saturday 15th September and look forward to seeing some of you there, many thanks
