The following crime has been reported to the police on Rutland North beat for January 2019: –

Theft from vehicle                           –              8 x A1

Criminal Damage                              –              Cottesmore x 2

We have noted a spike in Burglaries this month and ask the Rutland residents be vigilant and ensure that you report anything suspicious seen.  All of the Burglaries reported have been during the day time and entrance gained through the rear of the property.  I am happy to come out and discuss with anyone who has concerns and offer Crime Prevention advice and we will continue to conduct high visibility patrols around Rutland.

We have also seen a spike in theft from Vehicles specifically on the A1 and this month we will be carrying out a planned Operation to tackle this issue and to identify offender(s).

This month we will be holding a Beat surgery between 10am – 11am at Ryhall Post Office on 14th February to allow local residents to come and discuss any issues or concerns.  We hold a beat surgery each month in different villages on the beat and these are all advertised on our force Web site if you wish to check when we are coming to your village.

If you wish to contact me about any concerns or issues directly please either call 101 or email me laurie.appleton@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk many thanks
