North Beat Team Report – May 2018

North Beat Team Report – May 2018

The crime figures for May 2018 for Rutland North beat is as follows:

Burglary – Ashwell, Burley
Theft – Ashwell (Church), Essendine, Little Casterton and Whitwell
Theft from vehicles – A1 x 4, Greetham x 3, Barnsdale x 3, Egleton x 2, Market Overton, Whissendine, Stretton
Criminal Damage – Langham, Market Overton, Ashwell and Burley
Assault – Whitwell, Market Overton
Bilking – Stretton

We have had a spike in Theft from vehicles this month where vehicles left in isolated locations have had a window smashed and property taken. The investigation is ongoing and we are working with neighbouring Police Forces to identify the suspects for these crimes. I would ask that anyone leaving their vehicles in isolated locations not to leave any valuables in their vehicles.

We have also had reports of theft from Church roofs and so would urge anyone that sees or hears anything suspicious to report this through to the police. There have been 3 reports on Rutland North and 2 reports on Rutland South beats. If there any church wardens that would like to discuss any concerns with me please contact me either through 101 or laurie.appleton@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk .

I will be holding the monthly Beat Surgery at the Rutland show on 3rd June 2018 and am looking forward to seeing anyone that wishes to discuss any issues or concerns.
