Rutland North beat have had the following crimes report in September 2018: –

Burglary Dwelling – Burley, Little Casterton, Hambleton and 3 x Ashwell
Burglary Other than Dwelling – Essendine x 2, Ashwell x 3
Assault – Great Casterton
Theft of Motor Vehicle – Cottesmore
Theft from Motor Vehicle – Ashwell, Whissendine, 10 x A1
Criminal Damage – Little Casterton, Whissenidne, Market Overton
Theft – Great Casterton, Cottesmore, Exton, Tickencote, Ashwell

There has been a dramatic increase in reported Burglaries and Burglaries other than specifically in Ashwell which was reported all over night 3oth September into 1st October. We will be conducting additional patrols and looking to complete all house to house to try and identify any witnesses and suspects. If any local residents saw anything suspicious please contact me through email or by calling 101.

We have been working hard this month with Rutland South beat to reduce the Theft from motor vehicles but there has been an increase in Theft from HGV’s this month having had their fuel stolen on the A1.

We are also working with local farmers to tackle the issue of Hare Coursing. We have had 2 calls this month for Rutland reporting Hare Coursing and will be conducting targeted patrols over the next few months under Operation Galileo working with Lincolnshire police and will advertise the events nearer the dates through our Twitter account @RutlandPolice.

PCSO Di Freeman will be holding a beat surgery this Month at Yew Tree Avenue, Clipsham on the 21st October between 10am – 11am if any local residents would like to pop along and discuss any issues or concerns.
