On Shrove Tuesday, Whissendine Primary School sent a delegation of five hungry kids from Class 3, two from Year 4 and one each from years 1 and 2, together with a stray preschooler, to join Rev. Janet’s Pancake Party. Olive won the pancake toss with an impressive 24 flips in 30 seconds, while Polly, Dylan and Annie won the team 20 yard dash with pancake on head. Over fifty pancakes were consumed and only one stomach upset reported.
