Leicestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Willy Bach is asking for your views as he prepares his first Police and Crime Plan. He wants to make sure that the Plan reflects the issues that local people say are important to them to meet their policing needs and expectations. Are you prepared to help?

As I develop my first Police and Crime Plan I want to make sure that it reflects the issues that local people say are important to them. It needs to meet their policing needs and expectations.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

You may have heard about my new online public survey which is now live.

The responses to this (and an associated telephone survey) will provide me with a wealth of information to help me shape my plans to deliver a truly public-focused police service.

The survey gets to the heart of policing issues, asking for your opinion on a range of areas including police visibility, the areas of community safety you would like prioritised by the force and how you would prefer to contact the police.

I was elected to serve the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and to raise your views at the highest level. I’m determined to reach as many people as possible through this survey so that I can work with the force and our partners to set the right objectives in the years ahead.

The resulting strategies will guide the way we protect our communities over the next four years.

The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/B78HPFL and will close on 30 September 2016.

Many thanks for your support.
