From Thursday 1 April, Rutland County Council will be launching the Future Rutland Conversation, a new community engagement campaign designed to capture people’s views and aspiration for the county’s future.
Everyone’s voice counts, from those who live and work in Rutland to businesses and visitors to the county. Over the eight-week engagement period, Rutland County Council will be having meaningful conversations with people right across Rutland on their views on a whole range of different topics – including the environment, health and wellbeing and leisure. The aim of the Future Rutland Conversation is to find out what matters most to the lives of the people of Rutland and what they see for the future of the county.
As part of the engagement, Rutland County Council will be launching a new online engagement platform and hosting a series of virtual conversations, which are open to everyone. They will be hosted by Independent Facilitator, Michael Maynard and there will be the opportunity to have a conversation with the Leader of the Council, Cllr Hemsley and the Chief Executive, Mark Andrews. The views collected during the engagement will inform the vision and aspirations for the county and future council strategies and policies. Past engagement work will also be fed into the conversations.
All members of a household are encouraged to take part in the Future Rutland Conversation. Surveys hosted through the website should be completed by individuals rather than as a household. There are even activities and opportunities for children and young people to provide their views and aspirations for the county’s future.
