The road works and closure on Burley Road in Langham mentioned below (8th to 10th February) has been re-arranged to Tuesday 2nd to Wednesday 3rd March 2021. Bus service arrangements will be the same as before.
Please be advised that there are two sets of carriageway patching works scheduled for Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th February (Whissendine Road, Ashwell – from railway crossing to start of Ashwell Road in Whissendine) and Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th February (Burley Road, Langham – edge of village, over railway crossing to roundabout at Ashwell Road/Burley Road junction near OEP). These works necessitate a full road closure and consequently Centrebus services RF1 and 29 will be affected.
During the above dates the following changes will be put in place:
- Langham – bus stops on Burley Road not in use. Please use the stops on Melton Road instead.
- OEP – no service.
- Ashwell – no service.
- Whissendine – bus stops on Ashwell Rd, the church and The White Lion not in use. Please use The Green instead.
Passenger Notices will be put up at the appropriate locations to advise passengers and if you have any other means of communicating this information to your residents then that would be greatly appreciated.
Scheduled works are subject to for example inclement weather, but also if works are completed ahead of schedule then bus services will be able to resume normal service sooner. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
