Today, 5th March 2015, is World Book Day and kids at Whissendine Primary School are marking the event with a fun book swap. Residents of Whissendine looking for a good read are encouraged to visit St Andrew’s Church on Main Street, where they can borrow or buy books from a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction titles. Alternatively, wait for the mobile library to visit the village. Rutland mobile library visits Whissendine twice a month on Monday afternoons (the next visit is Monday 16 March).

4.05pm Mill Grove (Oakham Road) – up to 25 mins
