Whissendine Bowls Club

We play friendly matches, home and away, against local villages, the furthest away being Houghton on the Hill and Stamford. The matches start in April and run until September with 1 or 2 matches a week on Wednesday and Saturday. Once the season is under way we also have “roll ups” at the green where we practise and have fun games between members, these take place on Mondays at 6pm and Thursday at 2pm. During the winter we play carpet bowls in the Clubhouse Thursdays at 2pm to 4pm. The cost is 50p and includes a cup of tea and a biscuit, maybe even a chocolate one!

Membership
Membership is very reasonable. You need to be a member of the Sports Club which is currently £5 per annum and our fees are £25 at the moment, no further green fees payable.
