Whissendine Good Neighbour Scheme has been looking after villagers for over 5 years. Demand for assistance now exceeds supply and WGNS needs new volunteers. See the WGNS page for more details.
Your Village Needs You!
Start the new year by offering your services to one of the village clubs or associations. There is currently no Rainbows group (for girls age 5-7) in Whissendine and the village would welcome somebody to step up and become a leader. UPDATE: Thank you for stepping up, we now have a Rainbows group!
Whissendine Environment Group (WEG) is always looking for volunteers to join working parties to maintain the area. In addition, volunteers can be trained in hedge laying / coppicing at Rutland Water. The training is fully funded. See the WEG page for more details.
